Return to Dream
Scapes: Whinith - Part 2
Whinith had never felt such negative emotions in
this place. Hate and fear, and most of all pain. Then there
was a dull silence and shock. Whinith let the images into her, and
let them flow over her as she tried to swim through the pain and all that
she saw with her mind's eye. Flashs came and went and slowly she
was able to seperate them out. She found one thread and grabbed onto
it tightly, holding it for a moment. It was a familuar thread.
A girl who had sat in this same bed with a confidence but a slight bit
of fear. This memory of a girl, gave money to a man and he nodded
and let her go so easily. Another blast hit Whinith as she felt one
after another of students who had laid down on this same bed only to go
through extreme amounts of pain. Another imaged flickered past her
mind and she saw what had been the pain. Some sort of device that
was implanted into the skin. Or more correctly directly into the
brain. Whinith was scared and lost as she was in the emotions flooding
her she couldn't fight free to maybe escape a pain that would come to her.
A calmness soon filled Whinith and she felt as if
she could breath again. So slowly things moved but Whinith could
feel herself coming back to conscienceness. Her breathing was relaxing
and the images she had received from the build where slowly moving away.
Her entire body ached as she opened her eyes, the light in the room was
dimmed. She could tell at once that she was not where she had fallen.
In the back of her mind she vaguely remember being picked up and moved
to a bed in the hospital, but that wasn't where she was now. Meranda
was sitting next to her, and smiled. Whinith realized some how she
was back in her own room. Meranda's shields where stretched about
Whinith and the general calm of the room helped. "What happened?"
Whinith asked.
"You fainted at the medical center." explained
Meranda.
"But how did I get here." The dimness of the
room was due to the sun setting outside. Whinith must have been out
for awhile because when she entered the medical center it had still been
early morning. "How long have I been out?" she asks.
"Almost two days." explained Meranda.
Whinith was shocked, she had never been out so long before. "Calm
down, relax. Don't worry, your better now." Meranda continued
to explain what happened to Whinith as she grabbed a glass of water handing
it Wind who gladly drank it. "Well you fainted and the medics took
you inside and put you down on a bed. From what I heard your condition
was just getting worse and worse. I didn't learn about you until
late last night after my classes. You were not back yet and I was
worried. Good thing I found you to I guess." Meranda brought
over some food for Whinith to eat as well.
Whinith listened and ate as she did so.
Whinith oddly felt fine now, only abit hungry and tired. "Your condition
wasn't getting better and the medics feared you wouldn't live the night.
I tried to explain to them that you where an empath, and I had a feeling
that the emotions in that place caused this to happen to you. I've
always gotten bad vibes off that place, so no wonder it was doing something
to you. Well they were not about to let you leave that place."
Mernada grinned as she said the next part. "I got my friend Robie
to help get you out of there last night. I know just being in the
place was killing you. You remember I told you about Robie."
Whinith could not recall who Robie was or when Meranda had talked about
him. Most likely breakfast yesterday morning. Whinith just
nodded her head. "Well he's a telekinesist. So he simply lifted
you right out of bed and out a window. He's really good at moving
things. He could graduate if he wanted to but he chooses not to show
his true strength infront of the teachers and other students. I was
surprised he did so infront of me, but it also was very important to me
as well. I need him, and he will help out when needed."
Whinith stopped munching on what ever was on her
plate. "Won't the medical center be worried that I'm not there?"
questioned Whinith.
Meranda tossed her hand asside. "No way.
They have so many patients that they could careless. They will figure
you got better and left and someone didn't bother to record it down."
Meranda then leaned in. "So tell me. What was it that happened
to you." Meranda pointed to her own head. "Inside I mean."
