The Third Harry Potter Party (Parts A & B)
The Prisoner of Azkaban was to open up, and so I started gathering together my HP candy for the event. I got Halloween HP candy from the UK, and then right before the movie came out they released a bunch of stuff in the US, so I grabbed that up as well. I was most upset that my order of Acid Pops and a Mandarake never showed up. :(
Things were going along well, I had the day off from work, so I could go to the midnight showing...then... a Star Wars convention showed up. I had the day off, so I decided to go to the convention, and people there wanted to go to the Harry Potter Movie. So I started to arrange a line party for the midnight showing.
Alot of people wanted to go, but we didn't know where or when we would go till the last minute. So my friends Darci, Parker (Our new Gryphindor), and Jason were not able to go. They also had work an other issues. So I went to the line party in my full Hufflepuff outfit (Because Badgers Rule!), and met up with a bunch of Star Wars people. We had really good seats at the AMV at the Block and Orange. The Mangers actually let us into the theater early, because there were just so many people, waiting for the showing. The had three theaters to show the movie.
I had people take my picture several times, and met up with other people in costume. But it was easy to say, mine was the best and most complete and accurate. I looked so cute, and I'm proud of it. I also brought along Harry Potter candys to share with the Star Wars people. They enjoyed the various pieces. I had a big bag of UK Fizzing Wizzbizzes to share with just anyone so I did just that. Alot of people got to try them, to my delight. Some were amused, and others became addicted. I told people where to find the candy, and where to get their costumes. Overall it was alot of fun.
As for the movie. It's like in fast forward. Still love it, but can't wait till all the extra scenes are in it, so the pacing is a little better. But what can you do when you have an ending that will take atleast 30-40 minutes of time.
After the midnight showing, I still had a bunch of candy for my friends. We got together for a showing the next Friday night. I handed them their bags of candy and they were suprised by the amount. More surprised when they found how much they had eatened by the end of the night.

* 4 UK Acid Pops (1 in each flavor)
* 1 bag of US Fizzing Wizzbies
* 1 bag of US Gummy Slugs
* 1 box of US Ice Mice
I liked the Ice Mice best. It was fun to be with my friends, and soon we will have reviews for them on this website.
