I like Harry Potter universe, and decided I wanted a web page for it. However I couldn't decide what I wanted to make the page about. So I finally decided to make the page on the Harry Potter Candy that is available.
What made me choose to focus on Harry Potter Candy? It started with an idea for a simple party for my friends and I. There were to be four of us at the party. And three of us had a different favorite house, the fourth person invited hadn't read the books yet, so we decided for him that he would represent the fourth house. So we had Icka of Ravenclaw, Fe of Gryphondor, Jason of Slytherin, and Anneke (myself) of Hufflepuff.
Icka had mentioned she wanted a scarf like the ones in Harry Potter and I thought they would make wonderful Christmas gifts, however the cold weather would be in full force by Christmas, so the Harry Potter Line Party gave me an excellent time to present such gifts to my friends. I found a place on-line that would make me the scarfs, and at a resonable price. I ordered the scarfs and a few months later, received them in the mail. They were not identical to the ones in the films (having a looser weave to them), but I didn't care.
I then decided having some chocolate frogs to eat while we watch the movie would also be fun. So I located on-line some chocolate frogs and had them sent in from England. They appeared very different from the US version of the chocolate frogs I had once got to try. I searched E-bay and saw someone selling a variety of candy for a very cheep price and I couldn't resiest so bought them as well. I soon discovered there was a world of Harry Potter candies, and so I started ordering and buying more and more. My friends would be surprised by it all.
Plans changed and Icka was not able to make the party. I sent her the scarf and Darci took her place at the party, getting all the candy as well. Below is a list of the candy in each of the four bags:
